Recap

OK…So I am going to make this short & sweet…I am working on another project that will launch on the website later this week (so stay tuned!!!…and grab a fresh box of tissues if you are at the store) & I was not at this game. I have other kids & while I do thoroughly enjoy watching softball, what I enjoy the most is watching the people I love do what they love! My youngest is doing track for the 1st time this year. She is still learning & track meets are not super exciting, but I was very happy to watch her get her personal bests in Discus & Shotput!

So,…from what I have read, seen in GameChamger videos, & heard from other parents…this was a great game! The marquee moment of course was Ava Stern (P) & Sara Hess (C) hitting their 300the Varsity Strike-out!!!

WOW!

That is the kind of milestone I am sure every little girl playing hopes for but probably feels unattainable! You ladies did it!

Enjoy the moment & then it is back to work…we have a big week ahead!

Not to be overshadowed…Ashley Bryant (1st) hit an RBI Triple in the top of the 1st. Ava Stern (P), because throwing 300 Varsity Career Strike-outs just wasn’t enough, smoked an RBI single by the short stop & into CF in the 1st as well. In the top of the 3rd,  Sara “Maquina Doble” Hess (C) plated up double #8 (that almost cleared the fence!) along with a side of RBI…mmmm…RBI…almost as tasty as Pete’s Chicken…did someone say chicken?…oh, that was me. Anyway, May Castillo again, put the Cherry on top (how does she stay so thin? She has topped a lot of cakes this season!) with a 2 run HR (#2 on the season…so far…) with an absolute **BLAST** over the wall in CF to put this one out of reach & our Lady Streaks take home another victory with a 5-1 win over Dallastown.

Let’s get off the bus & on the train Ladies and keep this rolling down the track, next week will be a long one. Let’s hope the Easter Bunny laid off the colored eggs this year & brought you RedBull…you will need the “wings”. It is full steam ahead with 2 night games, one @ home & one away. Clear the tracks & see the scheduled stops below & don’t be late, this train only makes stops for “W”s, ALL ABOARD!

Monday, April 21st @ 7pm Home vs. Hempfield (the re-match…let’s keep those bats HOT!)

Wednesday, April 23rd @ 7pm @ Warwick (Under someone else’s lights)

Thursday, April 24th @ 4:15pm Home vs. Southwestern (are we sure this is home? GameChanger says away, but the schedule says Home, so stay tuned…, but I think we are home)

Friday, April 25th @ 4:15pm Home vs. Mechanicsburg (this is the make-up for the game originally scheduled for 4/11)

It’s not like these ladies have anything else important like Prom to worry about this week…
